Financial Aid
Bruriah is committed to providing support for families with financial need. As a division of The Jewish Educational Center, Bruriah parents are eligible to participate in the revolutionary ‘Tuition Max’ program which provides a cap of total tuition payments for qualified families at a percentage of their AGI. This program makes tuition far more affordable and removes the guesswork from the Financial Aid Process.

Families moving into the Greater Metrowest area may also be eligible to receive a one-time Move-In Grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest of NJ towards their tuition. Applications for the grant can be found at this link: https://www.njdayschools.org/1800_grant

The Financial Aid Application can be accessed here. For more information about our financial aid process, please contact Thalea Theodorakis at (908) 355-4850 ext. 6208 or email tuition@thejec.org.

Tuition MAX
This innovative program ensures that total tuition will never exceed a reasonable percentage of family income. With a respectful and simple enrollment process, total tuition, regardless of how many children are enrolled, will be capped at a percentage of Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), as determined by line 11 of your IRS tax return.

How to apply:
-
Please visit our website at TheJEC.org/TuitionMAX and fill out the FACTS application.
-
If you have a child/children enrolled in another Jewish school (K-12), a $5,000 credit will be applied per child to your AGI. For example, if your AGI is $180,000 and you have two children in a Jewish day school other than the JEC, your eligibility for program benefits will be evaluated as if your AGI were $170,000!
Eligibility Exceptions:
1. A family net worth over $1,000,000 (net worth includes home equity and retirement accounts).
2. Filing of Schedules C and E as part of your federal tax return.
3. Non-dual income families where there are no children kindergarten-age or younger.

Note: The tax-deductible family obligations are not included in this program
